Hello fellow Math Cohort Peeps!

For January's digital share, I'd like to introduce you to some new teacher-centric technologies that I've been following lately.

Microsoft Surface
The Microsoft Surface Pro 2 is taking the Tablet/Ultrabook Hybrid market by storm! It's second iteration has definitely improved upon the previous model and made it worthwhile to actually use daily, both in your personal and teacher lives.
  • Miracast: using a Miracast adapter (Netgear Push2TV or Actiontec Screenbeam Pro), you can use the Wacom Tablet function to walk around the classroom and mirror what's on your screen. It's easy to setup and much more intuitive than other solutions for wireless tablets.
  • Microsoft OneNote is a great tool for notetaking. It's way more powerful than other solutions such as Evernote, Google Keep, etc.
*I was not paid by Microsoft for endorsing Surface. :D

3D Classroom
The Dell S500wi Interactive Projector in many classrooms are actually 3D capable with certain active goggles. This technology seems pretty interesting for fostering student engagement.
